ABS visits FIU to launch its commitment to research and professional development

Under the agreement signed with Florida International University (FIU), a delegation from the Atlantic Bearing Services (ABS) and ABS Wind team had the opportunity and privilege to tour various campus facilities, accompanied by professors and university representatives, to present our commitment to research and the professional development of students.

Following the appointment of our CEO, Alejandro Pardiñas, to the National Industrial Advisory Board, this visit marks the implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives. These include the creation of an “ABS Day,” where an ABS delegation will periodically visit the university to interact with students, professors, and researchers. Additionally, we will advise and mentor a group of students on their final year project, addressing real-world problems relevant to our industry, and offer internship opportunities, allowing students to learn about our operations, structure, and benefit from the knowledge and experience of our professionals.

During the tour, we had the opportunity to introduce our company to the attendees and explain the various lines of collaboration that will help them connect with the professional world. We also visited the research laboratory, the mechanical workshop, and learned about the resources available to mechanical engineering students. We were truly impressed. Our congratulations to FIU!

At ABS, we have always incorporated the formation of multigenerational teams into our strategy to enrich our perspective and tackle the most demanding challenges. Participating in the professional development of FIU students and seeing them take their first steps is a source of pride and a privilege that aligns with our mission.

We are extremely grateful for the hospitality of our hosts, the curiosity and high level of questions from the students, and the dedication of the incredible ABS team: Carlos Romay, Pablo Rodríguez, Keyli Mora, Eugenio Galvan, and Rodrigo de la Vara.

We are excited about what lies ahead with one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the USA and eagerly anticipate all the joint activities we will undertake. We will keep you updated!
