During the Annual Meeting of the Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA), Alejandro Pardiñas, CEO and co-founder of ABS Atlantic Bearing Services, was appointed Treasurer of the organization, one of the most trusted and responsible positions within the alliance representing the North American motion and power transmission industry.
The appointment comes as part of a new chapter for MPMA following the designation of Jennifer Blackford as the organization’s new President and the renewal of its Board of Directors.
During the meeting, the contribution of Matt Croson, outgoing President of MPMA, was also recognized. Croson has been one of the key figures behind the integration of AGMA and ABMA, as well as an important driver in the evolution and international projection of the North American industry.
The appointment of Alejandro Pardiñas reinforces ABS’s growing and consolidated presence within MPMA, both from an institutional and technical perspective. Alejandro was already part of the first Board of Directors established following the creation of MPMA, a historic milestone for the company and a reflection of its active involvement in the development of the industry.
For ABS, this appointment represents not only a recognition, but also a responsibility and a long-term commitment to the development, competitiveness, and technical advancement of the sector.
Under Alejandro Pardiñas’ leadership, ABS has evolved over the past 25 years from a company founded in Miami into a global engineering and industrial solutions group with operations in more than 15 countries across four continents. Through brands such as ABS Wind, ACB Custom Bearings, AEC Engineering Chains, and MGS Gears & Gearboxes, the company provides engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and power transmission solutions for strategic industries worldwide.
Recently, Alejandro Pardiñas was also recognized as “Executive of the Year” by the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of his business trajectory and international industrial leadership.
This new appointment further reinforces ABS’s position as a global reference within the sector and reflects the company’s continued commitment to contributing to the development of the industry not only from a commercial standpoint, but also from an institutional and technical perspective.
