Description

Ball bearings are one of the most commonly used bearing types in modern industry, known for their ability to handle both radial and thrust loads. These bearings are ideal for applications requiring smooth, low-friction movement at relatively high speeds and lighter loads. The load is efficiently transferred from the outer race to the ball and then to the inner race, ensuring smooth operation. Due to the spherical shape of the ball, contact between the inner and outer races is minimal, reducing friction and wear while maintaining high-speed rotation. ABS ball bearings offer precision, reliability, and durability across a wide range of industrial applications.

Types of Ball bearings

There are three main types of ball bearings:

Deep Groove Ball bearings

Deep Groove Ball Bearings are composed of four basic parts, including inner ring, outer ring, steel ball and cage. Under normal operating conditions, the inner raceway, the outer raceway and the steel balls bear the load, and the cage separates the steel balls and maintains stability. Single-row radial DGBB have simple structure with no separation of inner rings and outer rings, that is easy to use.

Self-aligning Ball bearings

Self Aligning Ball bearings have two rows of balls, the outer ring has a common concave spherical raceway, and the center of curvature is the same as the center of the bearing. In presence of misalignment, when inner ring, the steel ball and the cage are slightly inclined relative to the outer ring, they can rotate satisfactory, the bearing is self-aligning and will not be influenced by the shaft misalignment relative to the bearing housing.

Angular Contact Ball Bearings

In Angular contact ball bearings, the raceways of the inner and outer rings of ACBB can have relative displacement in the direction of the horizontal axis, that can withstand combined loads, that is, radial and axial loads acting simultaneously. The axial-load carrying capacity of ACBB increases as the contact angle increases.
