ABS CEO and MPMA Treasurer Alejandro Pardiñas joined the Motion + Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA) Board of Directors in Oak Brook, Illinois, for its August 19–20 meeting, contributing to discussions on some of the key issues shaping the future of the power transmission industry.

The two-day Board meeting brought together industry representatives to address a broad strategic agenda, including industry consolidation, AI and emerging technologies, market intelligence, advocacy, technical activities, and developments in U.S. trade and regulation.

The Board also focused on the future direction of MPMA, working on the organization’s strategic plan, new strategic pillars, mission and vision, as the Alliance continues to evolve following the integration of AGMA and ABMA.

As Treasurer of MPMA and a member of its Board of Directors, Pardiñas plays an active role in the organization’s governance and financial oversight. During the meeting, the Board reviewed and approved financial and investment reports and the 2025 audit, while Pardiñas presented the MPMA Year End Forecast together with MPMA President Jenny Blackford.

The meeting also included a special “View from DC” session focused on the U.S. midterms, trade and regulatory changes, led by Nate Bolin, Partner at K&L Gates and MPMA’s subject matter expert on trade and tariffs.

Atlantic Bearing’s participation at MPMA Board level reflects our commitment to remaining actively engaged with the wider power transmission industry — contributing our perspective, supporting the sector and participating in the conversations and decisions that are helping shape its future.
